Sounded good, looks like fun. Did not see quarter mile or eight mile time and speed.
My 65 Monza, 110 4 speed won class at Lyons Drag Strip in Long Beach California. Car was about 2 months old. Only mods were to take top of air filter assembly off, remove the hub caps, raise front tire pressure to 30 lbs. Class winner at 76 mph and 18.11 seconds. Still have the trophy.
The crew running Lyons had some fun with me. When you fill out the misc. entry forms they find out this would be my first trip down the quarter. On the return road, there was
a small shack that would give out the timing slips. The official handed me a timing slip showing 110 mph!!!!! Wow! When I got back to the pits, the real timing slip had been tossed into the back seat.
Great memories and still have the car.

Kevin, I have not driven a lot of other 'performance' Corvairs. I do have to say it was an honor and absolute pleasure to take yours for a drive. The sound, the feel, you have this set up VERY well. :) Thank you.
I know that road well at the beginning of the video. We are lucky to have many many great drives here. Now I live by Pikes Peak so that will be a fun ride once I get a car going again. Thanks for the video Kevin!
